Exact figures of FIFA World Cup 2018 prize money are out now as officials have publicly announced World Cup prize money officially. Total $791 million have been fixed as per to the newly revealed prize money pool, but this is the whole prize money which will be divided into different forms like payments to clubs, players insurance fee and many other expenses. $400 million will be distributed to different 32 participants as reward according to their performance behalf in the World Cup. On the other side, the winners will grab total $38 million.
As mentioned above that FIFA officials have allocated total funds of $791 million as contribution to 32 contenders in the mega event. This is 40% increase of total revenue of prize money that was allocated back in World Cup 2014 which was approximately $564 million. $400 million out of total $791 will be given as reward to the winner only, while the rest of amount will be distributed to the different 32 federations that are taking part in World Cup to be played in Russia. $209 million will be used for Club Benefit Program, while the remaining $134 million will be used as insurance fee of different clubs players.
The winner of FIFA World Cup 2018 will have $400 million big amount in their account as reward of prize money. While different teams finishing on first knock out round will grab $12 million each, while the teams losing quarter finals will get $16 Million. The teams finishing on 4th position will have $22 million, third positioned team will get $28 million and the champion will get $38 Million.

The trend of prize money is not new obviously, but FIFA World Cup prize money is the huge one in worldwide sports events. The total cost of World Cup 2002 prize money pool was only $154 and $262 million in World Cup 2006, but the money got approximately double than previous which reached to $420 in World Cup 2010, while $564 million in World Cup 2014.
FIFA made $4.8 billion during the 2014 world cup while the total expenses were around $2.7 billion resulting in $2.1 billion profit for FIFA.

The world cup 2014 earned a total revenue of $2.4 Billion in term of broadcasting and TV rights, while $1.5 Billion came from sponsorship and commercial assets and tickets generated the sales around $550 million for the federation of international football association (FIFA). And the cost of World Cup 2014 was around $576 million in terms of prize money, insurance fee and other technical projects. This time the revenue is way more than the cost and going to create a record for the federations as mentioned above.
