England are all set to take on Pakistan in the 5th ODI match for Pakistan tour of England 2019 series. Before this match, England defeated Pakistan by three wickets in the fourth One Day match. With that victory England sealed the five match ODI series against Pakistan by 3-0 and still. Whereas, after losing the One Day series prior to ICC World Cup 2019, Pakistan will look forward to mark their first victory in this match. In the previous match, England won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. However, Pakistani openers took this opportunity to score 116 runs for the first wicket and provided Pakistan a stable start. Fakhar Zaman struck a beatiful fifty of 57 runs. While, his partner Imam ul Haq was retired hurt at only 6 runs. However, this ODI saw Babar Azam get his form back and score a marvelous ton of 115 runs. Apart from it, Mohammad Hafeez who joined Green Team after his injury for the first time, smashed 59 runs. But, as usual Pakistan were lazy to score in the death over likewise, previous three games. As a result, Pakistan finished their innings at 340 for 7 at the end of 50 overs.
Whereas, England needed 341 runs to win the fourth ODI and seal the series. Therefore, their openers were furious from the start. Jason Roy once again cracked 114 runs on just 89 ball, while his partner James Vince was dismissed at 43 runs. Other than the openers, Ben Stokes remained unbeaten at 71 and dragged England all the way to the victory in the last over. In the end, England won this match by three wickets.
England will win. After the previous three ODI’s, it is clear now that England have got the hold of visitors. They already got the Series trophy and now they will be looking forward to a series whitewash against Pakistan.
On the other hand, Pakistan will be eyeing on victory in this match to save themselves from a series whitewash. Their batting side is good at the moment, however their bowling side needs to strike for the early wickets. All in all, this is going to be an epic ODI match for the cricket fans.
