Now, Chennai Super Kings will meet Delhi Capitals in the 2nd Qualifier match on Friday. A good day for the Delhi Capitals fans, as the DC defeat SRH in the Eliminator match by two wickets.
Delhi Capitals won the toss and invited Sunrisers Hyderabad to bat first. However, SRH set a short total of 162 for 8 in 20 overs. They were short of long partnerships and no batsman scored a fifty in this match for Sunrisers Hyderabad. As a result, SRH crawled to 162 in the last over.
DC needed 163 runs to win this match in 20 overs. However, Prithvi Shaw provided DC a stable start while hitting 56 handy runs on 38 balls. After the dismissal of Shaw, Delhi Capitals soon begun to loose wickets after short intervals. However, then Rishab Pant struck a quick innings of 49 runs on just 21 balls, which took Delhi Capitals too close to the victory.
However, Pant was caught in the last over before the victory, but Amit Mishra took the final run on the second last ball to take Delhi Capitals all the way to the 2nd Qualifier. Hence, DC won this match by two wickets.
Now, Delhi Capitals will meet Chennai Super Kings in the 2nd Qualifier match, where the winning team will qualify for the finals. All eyes are set on this big match and cricket fans cant wait for this match to start.
